Focus on the Family will debut their documentary, ‘Irreplaceable’ on May 6, 2014. This documentary is about the shifting cultural values that just might possibly irrevocably affect family life, not just here in the United States but worldwide. This is only the first in a series of documentaries that Focus on the Family will be producing. But in a nutshell, this documentary is about
Every member of the human race has the desire for significance—a desire to belong. And the family is where those deepest longings are fulfilled.
Unfortunately, the word “family” has all but lost its meaning in our modern cultural landscape. And the fallout has been significant. Divorce. Crime. Poverty. Addictions. Abuse. Our attempts to redefine and reimagine the family only make these problems worse, not better. When the family is weakened, society suffers. But strong families make the world a better place!(Focus on the Family.)
Everyone has seen the disintegration of the core family unit and the attempt by so many to redefine what ‘family’ is and what it is all about. According to God’s plan, He created male and female and initially placed both spirits in the same body. Eventually, after Adam began to ask God why he did not have a mate, someone who looked like him, i.e. human, God placed Adam into a deep sleep and removed woman from him, forming a new and separate body for her and then presented her to Adam who immediately recognized her as being a part of him. Thus do we read in
Genesis 2:18, 21-24
And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
God’s plan has always been one Man and one Woman, coming together in unity and forming a family. After the first couple, each man and each woman were to leave their parents after they were mature, to form yet another family and a safe place for their children to grow up and mature and then leave their parents in an everlasting succession of generations.
The family has always been the core or the nucleus of God’s plan, which was to bring forth His Messiah, His Son, who would be His perfect Lamb and thus offer salvation to each and every person who would do just one thing: believe that God had sent His Son into the world, to die for the sins of many, and that God had raised Him from the dead.
So obviously, the family has always been under attack by God’s enemy: satan. The family has been under attack through shifting cultural mores, divorce, the homosexual/lesbian agenda, the sexual revolution of the 1960’s in their attempts to redefine what ‘family’ means and who it should consist of; namely, two or more people who ‘love’ each other. But this is not what God Almighty said that a ‘family’ consisted of; God defined it as ‘one man and one woman,’ coming together and remaining committed to each other for a lifetime. In other words, “For better or for worse, in sickness and in health…Till death do us part…”
This documentary by Focus on the Family will be discussing these issues and much more as they ask questions and offer some solutions to rebuild your family and the families of others. As Focus on the Family has written
But the documentary is just the beginning. You can make a commitment to building your own family on a solid foundation that will span the generations by making the Gen3 promise. What is the Gen3 Promise? It is a commitment to have a thriving marriage and family for the next 3 generations. It starts with a promise to daily invest in your own family knowing that a healthy family will impact generations to come. So, make the Gen3 promise and start living the Gen3 life now! (Focus on the Family).

This Sunday, January 20, 2013 will mark the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade, or more commonly known as the bill for ‘abortion on demand’. Sunday will be dedicated to memorializing the 55 million babies that have been slaughtered right here in the United States of America. The Right to Life Movement has been working at removing these laws from our land.
This writer would like to ask this question of her readers:
Why is it that when America’s children are slaughtered by sniper’s bullets, there is a rallying cry for strict gun control laws. Where are the rallying cries for strict laws for the surgeon’s knives or the other cruel instruments of destruction that literally tear babies apart from limb to limb inside the womb? Where is the Poison Control Center on this issue? They make a big deal about ingesting poison but say nothing about injecting poison into the womb?
The following are excerpts from the Hippocratic Oath penned in the 5th century B.C.
I will apply dietetic measures for the benefit of the sick according to my ability and judgment; I will keep them from harm and injustice. I will neither give a deadly drug to anybody if asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect.
Similarly I will not give to a woman an abortive remedy. In purity and holiness I will guard my life and my art.
Whatever houses I may visit, I will come for the benefit of the sick, remaining free of all intentional injustice.
This writer has crafted a new acrostic for the womb:
Remember the Wish Of My Baby: “Please love me, Mommy”
And God saw every thing that He had made, and behold, it was very good.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Today, Sunday, October 7, 2012 marks the 25th anniversary for the Christian solidarity movement against abortion, called the ‘National Life Chain.’ This is a Christian-based movement that has stood faithful since beginning in 1987 in California.
God entrusted LIFE CHAIN to us in 1987, when we built America’s first Chain through our small sister towns, Yuba City and Marysville. We call LIFE CHAIN “a serious first step to pro-life activism.” It’s a serious step in that it requires us to stand publicly for one hour, while holding a pro-life sign and praying through the prayer topics on the back of our sign. That brief experience has led thousands of Christians across North America to join local pro-life groups and work as volunteers throughout the year (nationallifechain.org).
Today, this writer is in Springfield, the Capitol of Illinois as the official ‘roving reporter’ and visited the three main locations that the National Life Chain had plotted over the face of Springfield. National Life Chain supporters will be located on McArthur Boulevard; and they will be positioned along and near 2000 Sangamon Avenue, primarily in front of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, but stretching further down the street to accomodate the many supporters; and also out along Stevenson Drive, plus a new location this year: in front of the Planned Parenthood of Illinois building, located at 11th and Washington. The word ‘PARENTHOOD’ denotes ‘life-giver’ and does not feature in any way the antithetical alternative of ‘life-taker’ as some would have us believe.

One of the benefits of filming your own video is that the author gets the great priviledge of meeting some really great people and to hear in their own words what they deem as sacred. I was able to interview Nancy Schrank in the parking lot of St. Aloysius as she prepared to get ready to take her place along Sangamon Avenue. I was also afforded the great opportunity to also conduct on-the-spot interviews of some of the faithful supporters who were standing like silent sentinels along the avenue as they prayed for those who have lost their lives and for those who have been duped to believe it is a woman’s choice. I was also able to interview a Catholic priest, Father Zachary Edgar who has just been recently assigned to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Springfield. He had decided to take up his post on 11th street which faces the side-view of Planned Parenthood. He was reading the Scriptures out loud and so read for me the passage of 1 Timothy 1:1-20.
Driving down Adlai Stevenson Drive I was reminded again of the greatness of the United States Constitution and our Right to Free Speech that was granted to us in the First Amendment. The priviledge of being able to vocalize either verbally or in print your personal beliefs is of a magnitude unheard of before the founding of the United States of America. You gotta love us Americans! However, this writer notes that the National Life Chain recommended that only their approved signs should be carried.
To include your city in 2013, notify National Life Chain of your interest via email to National Life Chain or call (530) 674-5068 and download (from this web site) a copy of the Life Chain Manual and the other entries under “LIFE CHAIN Materials.
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee…
